Mission

To bring renewable energy and energy efficiency (RE/EE) into the mainstream of the Latin American and Caribbean regions – with regard to their economy, industry, trade, government, environment, and climate change. By optimizing domestic energy resources with commercially-available energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies -- the countries within the hemisphere can reduce imports of fossil fuels and minimize fuel cost fluctuations, reduce emissions causing changes in global climate and harming human health, and significantly increase local employment and economic growth -- making the Americas a model for hemispheric cooperation; and contribute to the “Greening of the Americas” campaign.
