Argentina Clean Energy Congress & Expo, to be held in Buenos Aires at the Sheraton Hotel and Convention Center on April 11-12, 2012, is the most important annual renewable energy event in the country. This year it expands with a much larger floor plan for the expo and will include the presence of private sector, federal and provincial government, investors, and financiers.
The congress portion will include presentations from numerous experts in the field of renewables, energy efficiency, energy storage and smart grid solutions in what is one of the most promising energy markets in Latin America. LAC-CORE has already secured a booth at this important event and is a sponsor.
Argentina Clean Energy Congress & Expo, que tendrá lugar en Buenos Aires en el Hotel Sheraton y el Centro de Convenciones el 11 y 12 de Abril, 2012, es el evento anual más importante de energía renovable en el país. Este año la feria se amplía con una planta mucho más grande y contará con la presencia del sector privado, el gobierno federal y provincial, los inversionistas y financistas.
La parte del congreso incluirá presentaciones de numerosos expertos en el campo de las energías renovables, eficiencia energética, almacenamiento de energía y soluciones de redes inteligentes lo que es uno de los mercados energéticos más prometedores de América Latina. REFF-LAC builds on the success of REFF-LAC 2011, the inaugural conference which drew almost 200 attendees including CEOs and other senior company officials, lenders, investors, investment bankers, private equity investors, venture capitalists and other top transactional professionals in renewable energy finance. REFF-LAC is an extension of the hugely successful REFF-Wall Street, the premier renewable energy financing event on the US (held annually each June, attracting over 700 leading players), and REFF-West, the West Coast’s largest gathering of renewable energy financiers (held annually each September, with over 400 transaction professionals in attendance). ACORE and Euromoney are delighted to be partnering with the Latin American and Caribbean Council On Renewable Energy (LAC-CORE) to bring this expertise to such a burgeoning market.
REFF-LAC will draw an especially senior audience, comprising of over 200 senior decision makers, financiers and professionals in the renewable energy finance field.
The event will address the rapidly changing state of renewable energy finance, and insights about the path ahead, with a specific focus on the Central, Latin American and Caribbean markets and how they are interacting with the broader global markets. In the face of tremendous long-term growth potential and new political support, the renewable energy markets are today suffering from the credit crisis, withdrawal of major lenders, loss of tax equity capacity, economic recession, and new legislative initiatives.

Clean Energy Finance Seminars – June 2012
Clean Energy Finance Seminars, to be held in one same week in Montevideo, Uruguay; Buenos Aires, Argentina; and Santiago, Chile in June 2012. This Monday-Wednesday-Friday format allows bankers, financiers and project developers to meet with their peers in these three markets, understand the particulars of investing in each of these markets and allows for an “apples to apples” comparison, with time in between to further develop relationships and visit sites. LAC-CORE is a co-organizer of the series.
Clean Energy Finance Seminars, que tendrán lugar en una misma semana en Montevideo; Uruguay, Buenos Aires; Argentina, y Santiago de Chile; Chile en junio del 2012. Este formato de Lunes-Miércoles-Viernes permite banqueros, financistas y promotores de proyectos conocerse con sus colegas en estos tres mercados, entender los detalles de la inversión en cada uno de estos mercados y permite hacer una comparación de "manzanas con manzanas", con tiempo intermedio para desarrollar aún más las relaciones y visitar los sitios.
